Finding The Cause Of Bad Breath and Curing It
Finding The Cause Of Bad Breath
You may think that going to brush your teeth can easily get rid of the cause of bad breath. While that can work, that is not always the answer. This is because bad breath does not just come from neglecting to brush when you have finished eating. Some things are common and you have probably dealt with them, while others may be things of which you have never considered. If you know why you are having your bad breath, you then know what you can do to fix it beyond simply brushing your teeth.
Dirty teeth is the most common cause of bad breath. You may simply have to pick up your habits with brushing to keep the problem from coming back. If your bad breath goes away when you brush, you may have found your answer. When you are out and you can’t brush, which happens all of the time, you can always just chew some good gum to keep the problem at bay until you can brush again. If you are out to eat, the cause of bad breath is probably that you didn’t brush. At least you know so you can adjust your day.
What you eat may be the cause of bad breath. Though there is not a lot you can do about that, it can help you when you want to impress someone. If you know what foods tend to cause bad breath for you, you can avoid them when you are on a first date or at a work function. Those are two times when you would probably rather die than have bad breath. Some common problems are garlic and onion, but others can contribute. Find out through a series of elimination. It can take some time, but you can figure it out soon enough.
You may also have problems with your breath because your brushing habits are not going to be enough no matter how well or how often you do it. One cause of bad breath is food that is stuck in between the teeth. Though some of this is easily taken care of through brushing, some is not. You have to floss and you have to do it often. This will remove food from between your teeth that a brush simply can not get. This is probably the second biggest cause of bad breath out there. Add flossing to your brushing routine, and you are going to be doing well.
Bacteria and infection can also be a cause of bad breath. You may have a cavity of which you are not aware, or perhaps you have not been brushing your tongue, inside of cheeks, or the roof of your mouth. Those are all troublesome areas, even when you use mouthwash. You can always hit all areas of your mouth when you brush, and then see a dentist if you have bad breath of which you can find no cause. You may find an infection in your mouth that can be taken care of and your bad breath will disappear. Your health will rebound as well.
